Markish, David
(b. 1938)
   Israeli novelist, of Russian origin. He settled in Israel in 1972 and has worked as a novelist and journalist. His publications include The World of Simon Ashkenazy, The Jewters, The Dog, In the Shade of the Great Rock and The Crimson Well.
